Nikon Z fc Full Spectrum Converted Camera body / UV & Infrared
Nikon Z fc Full Spectrum Converted Camera – UV, Visible & Infrared Photography
Explore photography beyond the visible spectrum with this Nikon Z fc Full Spectrum converted camera, professionally converted, focus-adjusted and personally tested by me.
The original internal low-pass / spectral filter has been replaced with optical-quality clear glass, allowing the camera sensor to respond to a much wider range of wavelengths than a standard Nikon Z fc.
A Full Spectrum conversion is one of the most versatile camera modifications available. By using appropriate external filters, a single camera can be used for a wide variety of creative photographic styles, including UV, visible light, false-color and infrared photography.
It is an excellent creative tool for photographers interested in infrared landscapes, false-color photography, experimental photography and Kodak Aerochrome / Ektachrome EIR-inspired effects.
Full Spectrum Conversion – One Camera, Many Possibilities
A standard digital camera contains an internal filter designed to strongly reduce ultraviolet and infrared radiation before it reaches the sensor.
In this Full Spectrum Nikon Z fc, the original internal spectral filter has been replaced with clear optical-quality glass. This extends the camera's spectral sensitivity beyond normal visible-light photography and into the near-UV and near-infrared regions.
The real advantage of a Full Spectrum converted camera is flexibility.
Instead of permanently limiting the camera to a single infrared wavelength, you can change the photographic effect by using different filters in front of the lens.
Depending on the filter, lens, lighting conditions and post-processing technique, the same Nikon Z fc can produce dramatically different results.
Compatible with Popular Infrared & Full Spectrum Filters
A variety of filters can be used creatively with this Full Spectrum Nikon Z fc, including:
590nm Super Color / Goldie – excellent for dramatic false-color infrared photography with strong color separation
630nm Pinkie – colorful infrared effects with a distinctive creative palette
665nm Enhanced Color – a balance between false-color possibilities and stronger infrared characteristics
720nm Classic Infrared – the traditional IR look with bright foliage, dark skies and excellent monochrome possibilities
Super Blue / Faux Color filters – for striking in-camera color combinations and experimental photography
UV-pass filters – for specialized ultraviolet photography when used with suitable UV-transmitting lenses and appropriate photographic techniques
Visible-light / UV-IR cut filters – can be used when a more conventional visible-light response is required
External filters are required to select or isolate the desired spectral range and are not included unless specifically stated in the listing.
Kodak Ektachrome EIR / Aerochrome-Inspired Photography
One of the most exciting applications of a Full Spectrum converted Nikon camera is creating digital false-color infrared photographs inspired by the legendary appearance of Kodak Ektachrome Professional Infrared EIR and Kodak Aerochrome infrared film.
Vegetation can be transformed into intense reds, pinks or other surreal colors while skies, water and architecture create striking visual contrasts.
Unlike infrared film, however, digital Full Spectrum photography provides extensive creative control through your choice of filters, custom white balance, RAW processing, color-channel swapping and Channel Mixer adjustments.
The result is not a literal recreation of discontinued infrared film, but a highly flexible digital method for creating beautiful Aerochrome and EIR-inspired false-color infrared images.
Personally Converted, Focus-Adjusted & Tested
I have experience converting different digital cameras for Full Spectrum and infrared photography.
This Nikon Z fc has been personally converted by me, and I take real photographs with every camera I modify to verify its operation and image quality before offering it for sale.
The camera has been focus-adjusted and tested using a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 prime lens.
Other compatible lenses can also produce sharp results. Please keep in mind that lenses can behave differently outside the visible spectrum. Some lenses are particularly well suited to infrared photography, while others may exhibit infrared hotspots, focus shifts or reduced transmission at certain wavelengths.
The camera is fully functional and in the condition shown in the product photographs.

I will also provide detailed instructions to help you obtain good results when starting with Full Spectrum and infrared photography, including guidance for using the Channel Mixer during post-processing.
With the appropriate filter, RAW workflow and processing, you can create everything from dramatic near-monochrome infrared photographs to spectacular false-color images similar to those displayed in my galleries.
Why Choose a Full Spectrum Nikon Z fc?
Unlike a camera permanently converted to a specific infrared wavelength, such as 720nm, a Full Spectrum camera gives you the freedom to choose the spectral range using external filters.
One converted camera can therefore become a platform for experimenting with:
Full Spectrum photography
590nm infrared photography
630nm false-color photography
665nm enhanced-color infrared
720nm classic infrared photography
Deep infrared black-and-white photography
UV photography with appropriate equipment
Visible-light photography with an appropriate UV/IR-cut filter
Aerochrome / Ektachrome EIR-inspired false-color photography
Fine-art, landscape and experimental photography
This versatility makes a Full Spectrum Nikon Z fc an excellent choice for photographers who want to explore several areas of alternative-spectrum photography without being permanently restricted to a single infrared wavelength.
