Sony A6400 Full Spectrum Converted Camera Body
Discover a different way to see the world with this Sony A6400 full spectrum converted camera. Personally modified and tested by me, this mirrorless camera body opens up creative possibilities for infrared landscapes, false-colour photography, fine art and astrophotography.
With years of experience converting Sony, Canon, Fujifilm and Nikon cameras, I take care over every conversion and personally photograph with each camera to check its operation before offering it for sale.
One Camera, Multiple Infrared Styles
During the full spectrum conversion, the camera’s original internal filter is replaced with clear optical-quality glass. This allows the sensor to respond to a broader range of light, including infrared.
Unlike a camera converted for one fixed infrared wavelength, a full spectrum Sony A6400 lets you change the look of your images by changing the filter fitted to your lens.
Depending on your chosen filter and editing workflow, you can explore:
590nm infrared: vivid false colours and golden foliage.
630nm and 665nm infrared: creative colour effects with different balances of visible and infrared light.
680nm and 720nm infrared: classic infrared landscapes, bright foliage and dramatic skies.
850nm infrared: deep infrared imagery, particularly suited to black-and-white photography.
Compatible Super Blue filters: distinctive false-colour effects.
Results vary with the filter, lens, lighting, white balance and post-processing. Lens filters are required for these different effects and are not included in the package.
Create Infrared Images with Your Own Signature
Capture surreal landscapes, striking monochrome scenes and expressive fine-art photographs. With suitable filtration and colour processing, you can also explore false-colour infrared images inspired by Kodak Ektachrome EIR film, including red and pink foliage.
The full spectrum conversion also offers flexibility for astrophotography with suitable external filters and equipment. For conventional visible-light photography, an appropriate UV/IR-cut filter and colour calibration are needed.
