Nikon Z50 Full-Spectrum Converted Mirrorless Camera body – UV, Visible & Infrared Photography
Discover a new world of creative photography with this full-spectrum converted Nikon Z50. Personally converted, carefully tested and ready to use, this versatile APS-C mirrorless camera can record a much wider range of light than a standard digital camera—from near-ultraviolet and visible light to near-infrared wavelengths.
By combining the camera with the appropriate lens-mounted filter, you can explore UV photography, natural-colour photography, false-colour infrared photography and classic black-and-white infrared imaging using a single camera body.
Professionally Converted for Full-Spectrum Photography
During the conversion, the Nikon Z50’s original internal low-pass filter was replaced with clear, optical-quality glass. This allows the 20.9-megapixel CMOS sensor to capture a broad spectrum of light, starting at approximately 380 nm and extending into the near-infrared range.
A full-spectrum conversion is one of the most versatile camera modifications available because the final photographic effect is selected using an external filter. Compatible filter options include:
590 nm Super Color / “Goldie” for dramatic golden foliage and deep blue skies
630 nm “Pinkie” for vivid false-colour infrared images
665 nm Enhanced Color for rich infrared colour and excellent monochrome conversions
Super Blue for striking in-camera faux-colour effects
720 nm Classic Infrared for the traditional infrared look and high-contrast black-and-white images
With suitable filters and post-processing, the camera can create spectacular false-colour effects reminiscent of Kodak Ektachrome EIR infrared film, while providing considerably more control over exposure, colour channels and the finished image.
Please note: lens-mounted filters are required to isolate the desired wavelength range and are not included unless specifically stated.
